Your health and safety is my top priority.
At Meadowlark Tattoo, patrons are expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 per CDC guidelines. I am fully vaccinated and am happy to show you my vaccination card.
>>This rule is not open for debate<<
You are not required to wear a mask to get a tattoo. You may wear a mask if you choose, and you may also ask me to wear a mask— I will happily do so! This rule can change at any time, so keep an eye here and on social media for the most up-to-date protocols.
At Meadowlark Tattoo I meet and exceed all cleanliness standards for tattoo studios. The shop is fully insured for yours and my peace of mind. Please read the below for information about COVID-19 cleaning procedures and policies, and for a description of your rights and responsibilities as a tattoo client at Meadowlark Tattoo.

General Health & Safety Protocols
On the day of your scheduled tattoo, if you feel sick in any way, even the smallest sneeze or cough, please contact me immediately so we can reschedule.
Please shower/bathe and wash your hands before arriving for your tattoo. Please also make sure you have eaten, used the restroom, and are well rested before arriving for your tattoo.
The studio is cleaned daily and in between every client using hospital-grade microcidal (stronger than antibacterial) cleaner. All surfaces are covered with a protective barrier during tattooing, and all equipment used during a tattoo is single-use and disposable (including all needles). All machines are broken down entirely and fully sterilized in between clients. If you have any questions about the cleaning protocols for the studio, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Your rights.
You have the right to be treated with kindness, dignity, respect, and autonomy.
You have the right to have your identities acknowledged and respected while at Meadowlark Tattoo
You have the right to ask questions about cleanliness, shop practices, licenses, insurance, and how your tattoo will be done.
You have the right to feel safe at Meadowlark Tattoo. You have the right to ask questions and work with your artist to ensure that you have what you need to feel safe.
You have the right to refuse to have your picture taken. I always love to take a photo of your new tattoo and I usually share these photos on social media, and you have the right to refuse both the photo and for the photo to be shared.
You have the right to reasonable accommodations for any need. I will do anything within my power to help you access our space and feel safe. This may include reconfiguring the studio to accommodate your mobility device, allowing a support person to accompany you, assistance understanding the waivers/consent forms, etc. At this time I cannot allow emotional support animals for any reason, and service animals are only allowed with documentation of formal training and documentation of the needed service they provide.
You have the right to choose to not get your tattoo, or to stop the tattooing process. Your deposit will be kept if you choose not to get your tattoo, but you will not be charged. If you choose to stop the tattoo partway through, you will be responsible for reasonable compensation for work completed to that point as determined by a percentage of your quoted total price.
Your responsibilities.
You are responsible for adhering to all shop policies, including all COVID-19 policies.
You are responsible for telling your artist about what language you use to talk about yourself, and other aspects of your identity that may come up during your tattoo. This helps me to treat you with respect and care!
You are responsible for paying your deposit prior to your tattoo, and for paying for your tattoo in full at the time the service is rendered. Payment plans are not available for tattoos.
You are responsible for making sure you have eaten, used the bathroom, and taken care of yourself prior to arriving for your tattoo appointment.
You are responsible for knowing if you have an infectious disease, such as Hepatitis C, HIV, or COVID-19, and informing your artist of this disease. Having an infectious disease does not necessarily preclude you from receiving a tattoo, but it is important to be honest with me about it so I can take important precautions to keep you, me, and other clients safe.
If you choose to use a numbing cream such as Dr. Numb or similar, you are responsible for purchasing the cream yourself and applying it ~30-60 minutes in advance of your tattoo. Meadowlark Tattoo does not provide any numbing products.
You are responsible for treating me, your tattoo artist, with the same respect and dignity with which you will be treated.
You are responsible for conducting yourself in a respectful manner within the studio, and for treating the studio space with respect.
Alcohol and drug policy.
Meadowlark Tattoo has a zero-tolerance policy for the use of alcohol and drugs, including marijuana, on the premises. If you arrive to your tattoo appointment intoxicated on any substance, you will be asked to reschedule and your deposit will be forfeit— this includes intoxication from medical marijuana. You may not bring any alcohol or other substances, including marijuana, to your appointment. If you bring alcohol or other substances to your appointment, you will be asked to leave and your deposit will be forfeit.
If you take a prescription medication (not including medical marijuana, which is not allowed at Meadowlark Tattoo) that can produce intoxicating effects, please let me know when you book your tattoo appointment so that I can best accommodate your needs and advise you on expectations.
