About Your Tattoo Artist

As a hybrid-professional, Cei Lambert brings far more than artistic expertise to his tattoo business.

Cei Lambert (he/him/his) is an artist, educator, and activist. Cei was born and raised in Colorado, where easy access to the outdoors helped him develop a deep love for the natural world. Pursuing this love, Cei studied Wildlife Biology and Art, receiving a BS in Wildlife Biology and both a BFA and MFA in Fine art from Colorado State University.

Cei has held a variety of roles in his varied career, including adjunct art professor, loom builder in a factory, textile designer, and scifi/fantasty book cover illustrator. From 2015-2019 Cei lived in Boston, where he worked at Fenway Health, first as the manager of the Transgender Health Program, then later with the Division of Education and Training as the Program Manager for the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. Cei also served as the Assistant Director for Diversity and Inclusion at Berklee College of Music, and has been working in diversity, equity, and inclusion for over 17 years. In response to requests from companies across Boston, Cei founded Diversity Consulting, Inc. which he still owns and operates.

Cei has shown his fine art in a variety of galleries nationwide, and continues his fine art practice alongside his tattoo work. . In 2020, Cei decided to open Meadowlark Tattoo as a studio devoted to making great tattoos while prioritizing serving people who have historically been excluded or discriminated against in tattoo spaces.
